Inspiring Open Lesson at the Maize Institute – Knezha with Students from Several Schools

Today, an inspiring open lesson was held at the Maize Institute – Knezha, attended by students from “Vasil Levski” Primary School – Knezha, “Dimitar Blagoev” Primary School – Veliko Tarnovo, “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” Primary School – Bachevo, and “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” Primary School – Gorni Dabnik. Together with their teachers, the children immersed themselves in the wonderful world of maize – from the seed in the soil to the golden grain on the table.

The respected breeders from the Institute – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Yordanov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lyuba Glogova, and Asst. Biserka Hinkina – presented an engaging and accessible presentation that involved the young guests in the real process of growing maize. The students popped popcorn, learned what lies behind each maize variety, and even created their own advertising posters.

Heartfelt thanks to the Institute team – to Asst. Biserka Hinkina for her inspiring participation and unique decoration, as well as to Eng. Lyubka Reseleshka for the captivating presentation that left a lasting impression on the children’s hearts.
