Invitation from the Bulgarian Science Fund to participate in a competition for funding basic scientific research in 2026. The program has an estimated budget of 21 million euros, with two types of projects offered depending on whether the applicant participates independently or in partnership. Eligible applicants are limited to accredited higher education institutions and scientific organizations, which must submit their proposals electronically by June 30, 2026. The selection process includes a strict administrative compliance check, followed by an expert scientific assessment, requiring a minimum of 80 points for approval. Through this funding, the state seeks to strengthen the international presence of Bulgarian science and encourage the development of new knowledge in response to contemporary societal challenges.
