Improvement and Development of New Agrotechnical Parameters, Elements, and Technologies for Maize Production for Various Uses, Preserving Soil Productivity under Conditions of Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture

The project consists of 8 topics, which include agrotechnical research related to determining the role of maize in crop rotation, soil tillage, fertilization response, irrigation, pesticide use, and the suitability of hybrids for mechanized harvesting.

  1. Development of specialized crop rotations that maximize crop productivity while maintaining and improving soil fertility.

  2. Identification of soil tillage systems that contribute to establishing optimal structural, water-physical, and agrochemical soil regimes.

  3. Determination of balanced organic, macro-, and micronutrient fertilization tailored to crop requirements to achieve maximum productivity and quality of plant production.

  4. Development of integrated plant protection systems that safeguard the environment and produce ecologically clean products.

  5. Determination of relationships between optimal and insufficient water supply, disrupted irrigation regimes during critical plant development stages concerning water factor.

  6. Economic evaluation of inputs and resource management of maize production technology for various uses depending on agroecological conditions.
